WHAT IS PRESENTATION PACKAGE?
These are software package suites
that contain program designed to accompany the speaker when he makes a
presentation. It is always in form of a slide show.

STARTING POWERPOINT
(i)
Click
on the start button located on the task bar.
(ii)
Click
all programs
(iii)
Click
Microsoft office.
(iv)
Then
click Microsoft power point.
You will be prompted to choose any
one of the options such as open an existing presentation, create a new
presentation using box, by using Auto content wizard, an existing template or
start with a blank presentation.
POWERPOINT SCREEN
The power point screen consists of:
(a) THE TITLE BAR: It contains the current
presentation name and also minimize, restore and close button.
(b) MENU BAR: It contains menu use to
design presentation.
(c) STANDARD TOOL BAR: it contains command
icons to open, save,
print, spell check etc.
(d) FORMATTING TOOL BAR: It contains fonts,
font size, bold, italic,
underline, alignment, font colour
etc.
(e) TASK PANE: It has all the common actions
that you might need when
designing your presentation such as creating
new project, new slide
etc.
CREATING A NEW PRESENTATION
(i)
Launch
power point from the window menu, or select file to display the new
presentation tasks pane.
(ii)
Choose
how to create a new presentation under the new area.
(a) Auto
content wizard: It offers the highest degree of help. It walks you
through each step of creating a new
presentation.
(b) Design
Template: It provides a professionally designed colour,
background and font scheme that
applies to the slides you created.
(c)
You can choose to start from scratch and create a totally blank
presentation
that is, building the presentation from the ground.
(iii)
Click
on one of the options to close the power point new presentation
pane and start creating your presentation.
